Scenario

You are the only Aide on the blacktop at recess, when Timmy approaches with another of his famous nosebleeds. You do not typically keep latex gloves handy. What should you do?

  1. I would keep Timmy by me, without making contact with him, while I sent another student to the restroom to get paper towels. I would give these to Timmy to keep his blood from hitting the concrete, or universal surface. Once his blood was contained, I would send him to the office where they would have latex gloves and could help him properly. I would keep all students away from the contaminated concrete until the custodian could properly clean it.
